Meet your teacher
Born and raised in Dunleer, County Louth, Brendan McCreanor has spent a lifetime at the heart of Irish traditional music — as a performer, recording artist, academic contributor, and teacher. A BA (Hons.) Music graduate rooted in the Oriel tradition, he has shared stages with some of the biggest names in Irish trad, Americana, and folk, performed for two Irish Presidents, and co-founded Your Roots Are Showing (YRAS), one of the music world's most exciting international conferences.

With over 25 years of teaching experience and students joining him from across Ireland, the US, and Canada, Brendan brings rare depth and warmth to every lesson — whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or finally ready to hold your own at a session.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“I had never played traditional music before and honestly didn’t think I could learn. Within weeks, I was playing full tunes and actually enjoying it. It’s the first instrument I’ve ever stuck with.”
— Aoife, 17, Dublin
“I work full time, so flexibility was important. The lessons are clear, practical, and easy to fit around life. I’ve made more progress in a few months than I ever did learning on my own.”
— Mark, 42, Chicago
“My son is 10 and now practices without being asked, which says everything. The progress in both his playing and confidence has been incredible to watch.”
— Sarah, Parent of Student, Belfast
